About the Image:

It is always a challenge to uniquely capture a landmark that has been photographed many times. This was my second visit to the Statue of Liberty and I was lucky that it was a rainy and cloudy day. I captured the statue from the backside, looking small, facing the stormy clouds and selectively colored Lady Liberty to put a little extra emphasis on her.
