Behind the Image:

This is a long exposure black-and-white image of a big log on Bullards Beach in Bandon. During winter, these large logs are often swept ashore during storms, and this one happened to be waiting as the tide came in. A bird perched nearby, sitting still for me during the long exposure. The bird adds balance to the composition, enhancing the quiet mood of the shot, where the gentle flow of time is captured in the simplicity of the scene.
