Behind the Image:

I captured this pastel sunset over the Sonoran Desert near Tucson. The light faded slowly over the saguaros and dry desert brush. Sometimes the Sonoran is green and full of life, other times it’s dry and brown—but no matter the season, there’s a stunning beauty to it. There’s a quiet stillness in the desert in the evening that I’ve always loved.
