Behind the Image:

A classic view of the Manhattan skyline, shot from the Empire State Building. I created it by merging several portrait-oriented photographs, giving it a fish-eye lens look, but keeping the horizon straight. I’ve added a sepia tone to only the buildings in this black and white photograph, which leads to a subtle warm-cool contrast between the buildings on one side and the sky and water on the other, making the water and sky appear more blue.
