"Captured in the British Virgin Islands (BVI's), these 40 foot tall boulders are clumped where the island meets the water. They have withstood the test of time and I knew the story here was about the resiliency of the rocks and not the choppy water. I chose to have the shutter open for 8 seconds, causing the moving water to blur and appear soft, accomplishing my goal of showing the rocks as the dominant elements." "Our lives are filled with noise, clutter, 'emergencies', deadlines, and rapid fire decisions. While some of these are necessary, there is a need for a balance, a grounding force, to keep life in perspective. The prospect of bringing some calm to an otherwise busy life is my driving influence." Read more.
